Our festival returned to the grounds of Polesden Lacey for its 4th successful year, from 1,st to 2nd October. With its glorious views across the rolling Surrey Hills, acres of countryside and beautiful gardens, this was the perfect setting in which to celebrate quality food and drink.
Visitors found an abundant range of delicious flavours on offer from local stallholders - from traditional wood fired pizza to handmade fudge, fine champagne, natural preserves and speciality cheeses – truly an autumnal feast for all!
Stuart Hutchinson Head Chef of Stowe Park cooked a pearl barley risotto and the perfect apple traybake, Laura Scott from How To Cook Good Food & The Epsom Supper club treated everyone to indulgent little ginger & walnut banoffee pots and there were more fascinating demos and talks from guests including, Reza Mahammad; Denbies Wine; Simon Taylor, Surrey Hills Butcher and Marlow Renton from Wildfood UK.
Children were treated to garden games, rides, a storyteller and face painting, as well as Polesden Lacey’s Squirrel’s Corner woodland play area. Whilst live jazz music provided the perfect backdrop for relaxing on straw bales, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying a feast of delights!
